New Patients

Visiting a new medical or dental office makes most people a bit nervous and others really terrified. We understand! There are so many questions:

  • Will this place be as good as my last dental office?
  • Will it be as bad or worse?
  • Will I get yelled at if I haven’t been lately?
  • Will they try and sell me something I don’t want?
  • Will it cost too much?
  • Will the doctor and staff be competent and caring?

Our goal on this page is to give our prospective patients an idea of what to expect when they arrive for their initial visit.

People call our office because they want to have their teeth cleaned. Others might have a specific issue that has been giving them trouble. Some are referred by dental specialists or just want a consult with Dr. Devine. So, in general terms these initial visits are:

  • Check-up and cleaning
  • Emergencies
  • Consultations

Emergency visits address specific situations. Expect us to focus on that immediate need. Consultations vary widely from case to case. They generally center on non-urgent issues that the patient is already aware of.

Dental “cleanings” encompass a diverse array of treatments.
